A: The concerts are held in various venues throughout the Winston-Salem area:
  • The James A. Gray Jr. Auditorium is located in the Visitors Center of Old Salem.
  • Reynolda House Museum of American Art is located on the north side of downtown Winston-Salem, near the campus of Wake Forest University at 2250 Reynolda Road, Winston-Salem, NC 27106.

  • Krankies at the Werehouse is located at 211 East 3rd Street in Downtown Winston-Salem.

Q: How long do concerts last?
A: That depends on the concert: Most concerts usually last about 60-90 minutes. Some evening concerts begin with introductory remarks by a special guest. The Family concert lasts about 45-60 minutes.

Q: When and where do I pick up tickets being held for me?
A: Starting one hour before the concert begins, tickets may be picked up at the will-call table located just inside the venue entrance.

Q: Can I buy tickets at the door?
A: Whatever tickets remain unsold on concert day will be sold at the ticket sales table at the venue entrance. Tickets for all concert venues may be purchased in advance from the Old Salem Group Tours and Reservations by calling (800) 441-5305.

Q: Are there different levels of seating?
A: All seats are the same price, and seating is made on a first-come, first-served basis.

A: Our audience members' dress ranges widely, from very casual to formal.

Q: Are the concerts wheelchair accessible?
A: The venues are fully wheelchair accessible.

Q: Is there anything I should know about attending a chamber music concert?
A: Please turn off your cell phone, pager, alarm watch and anything else that might distract from the performance. -Please arrive at least 15 minutes before the concert start-time to get settled. -After the short round of applause greeting the artists as they take the stage, please hold your applause until the very end of a piece so as not to break the artists' concentration.

Q: What are my dining options? A: Winston-Salem has a wide variety of dining experiences to fit every budget and taste; from North Carolina barbeque to elegant four-star dining. For concerts at Old Salem, the Salem Tavern offers a varied menu in the historic tavern building (George Washington slept here in 1791). For more information on other dining options, visit the Winston-Salem Convention & Visitors Bureau website.
