The Carolina Summer Music Festival closes its 2011 Season by resurrecting an experience of hearing new music in early 20th century Vienna. These unique chamber settings by Arnold Schoenberg include Debussy's "Prelude to an "Afternoon of a Faun," Mahler's Lieder eines fahrenden Gesellen (songs of a Wayfarer) and and waltzes by Johann Strauss including the "Emperor Waltz" and "Roses from the South."
